Outlook 2007 Folders in Backup Lost

I had a backup copy of my Outlook 2007 .pst file that I accessed when I
reloaded Outlook 2007 program onto a new hard drive (old one died). I can
see all my contacts and the deleted and sent messages from the old file, but
the folders I had set up to organize and keep e-mails I had received has
vanished. has anyone seen this happen before or have suggestions how to
retrieve them? Thanks.

Did you open it using File, Open, Outlook data file? Press Ctrl+6 to go to
the folder list - do you see all the folders there? If not, they were not in
the pst file you backed up.
