Outlook 2007 format issue

When I compose a email or reply to one evey time I type a word like this here
word's it is diplayed like this word' s. Can someone tell me how to correct
this.

Thanks for you time in responding to my question.

I have looked through the settings but I dont see anything that may be the
issue. I did change my format type from HTML to Rich Text and the issue goes
away. Does that give you a clue to where my problem may be.
