I just got a new computer with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit. I installed
Outlook 2007. This is the problem. The last incoming message freezes and
won't finish. No new mail will be retrieved as a result. Everything else
works fine though. When I do File and Exit, Outlook actually does not close
and when I look in task manager, it still shows it open under Outlook.Exe*32.
Sometimes it is listed twice. ( I always right click on Outlook and open
when i initially open it so I can ensure it is not being opened twice.) I
must then end the process in task manager before I can get Outlook to open
again. When it is opened again, the last piece of mail comes through and it
works fine. This happens every single day and I cannot figure out why. Is
there an issue with Outlook 2007 and Windows 7 64 bit? Is there something I
can do to fix this issue?
