outlook 2007 freezes due to calendar feature

i've been using outlook 2007 with vista and was working fine until just a few
days ago. i re-opened the calendar feature that i haven't used in months.
that was my mistake. now i can't do anything with outlook 2007 as it has been
frozen. :(

after reviewing and following some of the solutions offered in the
discussions for related issues, it's still not working. when i try to go to
the run command to clear the reminders, i just get an error message that
windows cannot find it.

i've gone back to using windows mail. i can work around it if i can just at
least open the outlook 2007 to retrieve emails and contact info. but because
it's frozen, i can't do anything.

please, can someone help me?

What command are you entering to clean the reminders? It should be the
following:
Outlook.EXE /cleanreminders

That's "Outlook.EXE" (no quotes) followed by a space then "/cleanreminders"
(once again without the quotes) followed by an ENTER.

i followed your instruction with the corrected run command, and it didn't fix
it. it still freezes. :(

Have you tried using a fresh PST file then copying your data into it from
the other PST? It's a drastic measure but it might be worth a shot.

why do you say 'drastic'? will it potentially cause more problems?

if not, how do i do that? can you please give step-by-step directions?

It's a bit of an overkill but it may work.

To add a PST file: <trying to remember steps from memory>
Tools menu > Account Settings > Highlight your email account > Click Change
Folders > New Outlook Data File

Restart Outlook, then drag/drop stuff from your old PST file to the new one

do i need to get in to outlook 2007 to start the steps, going to Tools? if
so, i can't. my outlook is frozen, :) hence, i can't do anything in it :(

i followed your instructions; also went to the site you referred and followed
the instruction (renamed to reset to .old), still nothing.

outlook just opens like it's going to work, then it just loads forever like
before and i can't do anything else with it except to close it using the Task
Manager.

just want to share that my problem with outlook 2007 has been solved by:
outlook.exe /resettodobar :))) (i forget who it was but i rated the post in
their thread) (i read this in another post for another similar issue and it
worked!!) woohoo!! thank God!!!
