I am having the same problem - using xp professional and outlook 2007 -
ithink there is aproblem and they are not willing to admit it. I am constanly
having to send/recieve and if I remove my information and re-enter it things
will be fine for a few days and then we are back to the same old problem.

I have similar issues. I'm also using Outlook 2007 and Vista Ultimate. I
have outlook set to 2 different profiles (Me and my wife, since we use one
account on our computer (since it's pointless to keep swithing between
accounts on a family computer that's always on)) so that I have set up
shortcuts on desktop to select profile with /profile command. My profile has
3 different account set up, all IMAP. My wife has one, and she has no
problems.
My problem is that sometimes Outlook can't connect to my 2 other mail
accounts and keeps showing those 2 in offline mode. My main account is still
connected and I can receive mail just fine on that account. If I try to
connect one of the offline accounts Outlook stops responding for like half a
minute and then tells me that it can't connect. This same problem existed
before I set 2 profiles on this so I don't think that has anything to do with
the problem. The problem also goes away if I reboot my system. After a reboot
everythin works just fine. I've noticed no precise patterns about this, so i
can't figure out if it is a compatibility issue with another program or
driver.
I've tried to dissable F-Secure, open firewall, restart Outlook. System
reboot seems to be the only way to fix it (untill the problem appears again).
The accounts are no problem either since Thunderbird works just fine, never
had any issues with that. I'd just rather use Outlook since it can sync with
my Windos Mobile pda. And also the Outlook 2003 on my laptop also works just
fine. Should I re-install Outlook or is there another way to fix this?
