Outlook 2007 Hanging

Whenever I send a reply to an e-mail that I receive on my Vista Outlook 2007
it completely hangs up Outlook. The only way for the send to be completed is
by canceling Outlook via Task Manager and then restarting Outlook. When I do
this then it will complete the send.

What is causing this problem?
