Outlook 2007 Hangs when clicking Tasks and/or Calendar

I been running Outlook 2007 since Jan'08.

Historically there has been an annoying feature that when collecting mail
from the POP3 server it can not be completing the process properly, because
when I open Outlook the next time it might collect further copies of mail for
the last day or even a week's worth. annoying but not the end of the world if
someone's got a solution-great.

More recently, ie Today, Outlook 2007 hangs when i click from 'mail' to
'tasks' and also when clicking 'Calendar'. The latter I think because to try
to solve the 'tasks' problem, i changed calendar view to include 'To Do'

Background:
7 days ago the computer was been infected with a Trojan-clicker, which
McAfee Security Center missed, and just could not find. The Trojan came from
an email from a 'friend' and this has now been sucessfully removed after
purchasing Kaspersky Internet Security.

I really need to get Outlook2007 back to operation - any suggestions.

I have made pst file copies of my mail, tasks, calendar, contacts with a view
to re-installing 2007, but cannot find where this is located on the Office
Trial 2007 Cd that came with the HP computer. I purchased the activation
license at the time of purchase of the computer.

Help!
