outlook 2007 has intermitant spell checker. How to fix it??

I have office 2007 insstalled with spellchecker. But in outlook it does not
always work. It says the check is complete but there are clearly have not
deteched wrongly spelt words.

If you right click on the errors, do you get the signature menu or the
normal right click context menu? If you see the signature menu it means you
are typing in the signature block. Add two dashes at the top line of the
signature so you can see where it begins.

And if that's not it, try this...

Tools -> Trust Center
Click on Add-ins
At the bottom of the window where it says Manage:, change it to Disabled
Items and click Go

Hopefully you'll get a list with at least one item. It's something like
"spellcheck-en". I'm not sure exactly because after I enabled it, it went
away and does not appear on any ofthe other "enabled" lists.

In any case, slect that item and click Enable.

Spell checking worked for me after that.

Did you have a 3rd party spelling addin installed for IE or something?
