Outlook 2007 - Help Required

Steve

I am using Outlook 2007. I have set up the email as per Tiscali instruction
for Outlook 2007 but the following now happens:

1. Every time I do a send/receive the network asks for my password despite
having ticked the box's for automatic (I do then receive emails from the
Tiscali Server) - what do I need to do to prevent this from happening?

2. When sending an email from Outlook 2007, again the network asks for my
password and then the email is let out but never reaches the recipient. What
can I do?

All & any help greatfully received.

No - but thanks anyway.
I am using a Linksys WAG54GS Router.
I have learnt that Tiscali are being hit by Spammers and this has caused
issues with emails not reaching recipients.
But as yet they have not replied to the issue of having to input my password
every time for a send/receive.

Funnily enough about 30 mins after posting my reply below my own sent mail
died. I couldn't believe it! Since then I spotted the note on the tiscali
website about the spam attack. Don't know what your password problem is
though. Tiscali do respond in a reasonably helpful way in my experience,
although it takes them a few days. Their telephone support was helpful when I
had setup problems a while ago so that's worth a try.

Are you using Vista? It seems to have numerous settings hidden in sub-menus
which can override each other; it may be that that's triggering the password
request.

I am still using XP. I'm waiting for my free VISTA upgrade DVD.
I have set everything to 'auto' with regard to send/receive, as far as I
know! So either I have missed something or this Spammer problem is also the
culprit!
