SUBJECT: Outlook 2007 - How to set "When HTML Message Contains
Pictures Located on the Internet, Send a Copy of the Pictures Instead
of the Reference to their Location" like Outlook 2003?
1. I would previously create my own html page in notepad, paste in
image code generated by PhotoBucket, to present clickable image
thumbnails, referenced to full size images on my PhotoBucket host. I
then save the .html file.
2. I would then open the .html file in Word 2003 or Internet Explorer
7, confirm my layout, then CTRL+A (select all), then paste into
Outlook 2003 and send.
If my .html was only say, 2 KB file of code, my resulting sent message
would be about 2 or 3 KB.
Outlook 2007 editor insists on "attaching" the 50 or so thumbnails
into the message (they still show inline) but the size of the message
bloats to 200+ KB. This makes sense as my thumbnails (also on
PhotoBucket host) are about 4 KB each.
But, I don't want this to occur. I want my messages to send like they
did in Outlook 2003.
In Outlook 2003, I could go...
Tools
--> Options
-----> Mail Format
------->Internet Format
---------> When HTML Message Contains Pictures Located on the
Internet, Send a Copy of the Pictures Instead of the Reference to
their Location (UNCHECKED in Outlook 2003!)
Please help.
