outlook 2007 images

I have 1 person that is using outlook 2007 on a dell laptop.
They are unable to view images in their emails.

They can see where the images are and if they right click on it, they can
copy and paste it into word or mspaint and see them just fine. If they
forward teh email to somebody else, they can see the images.
I set outlook to automaticly download images.
their email format is set to HTML.

any ideas?

Unblock picture downloads for all messages
On the Tools menu, click Trust Center, and then click Automatic
Download.
Clear the Don't download pictures automatically in HTML e-mail
messages or RSS items check box.

as I mentioned, I have already set it to download pictures automaticlly.
The pictures are there, just cant be seen.
I can click on teh email where teh image should be, and I can see that the

If you add the sender to your Safe Senders list (see below for
instructions), does it then show the pictures? If so, Outlook is definitely
blocking the pictures (it does this by default) and you need to go back to
Dogg1234's post and follow it to the letter.

Alternatively (and this is the safer option), every time you receive an
email in which the pictures are blocked, decide whether or not the sender is
trustworthy and then add them (or not) to your Safe Senders list. You do
this by right-clicking the message, moving the mouse down to Junk Email and
selecting either "Add Sender to Safe Senders List" or "Add Sender's Domain
(@example.com) to Safe Senders List".

is it all messages/pictures or just some? Do they have a firewall or
antivirus scanning the incoming mail? A couple of firewalls block images and
AV scanners can mess things up.

The emails are not going into teh junk mail, so teh option to put them on
teh safe senders list is not available.
Please go back to my original post and re-read.

The images are there (just not viewable)
when viewing the email, you can see where teh picture should be as it is
outlined.
if you click on it, the only option is to COPY it.
when doing so, you can paste it into word, excel, mspaint etc... So that
proves teh email or image is not being blocked.

Well firstly, if you're going to take the offensive, not many people will be
inclined to offer help.

OK, with that out of the way, please go back and have another look. there
should be a Junk Email option on your right-click menu regardless of which
folder the mail is in. Outlook 2007 automatically blocks pictures unless
you tell it not to. Each place marker contains the words "Right-click to
show pictures". Alternatively you can click on the blue (by default) banner
where it says "click to show pictures". Either of these actions will
display the images for the current email only. You've already had an answer
explaining how to allow ALL pictures, I tried to explain how to enable them
on a per-sender basis. The Safe Senders list does not just determine
whether or not the email is junk. I determines whether or not you've chosen
to trust the sender. If you haven't specifically told Outlook that you
trust the sender then Outlook will automatically block images and other
potentially harmful content.

If you right-click the message you SHOULD see a Junk Email option, and there
SHOULD be an option to add the sender to the Safe Senders list. If it's
missing then there's something wrong with your installation. I rather
suspect from your reply that you've made a snap judgement that it won't
work, without actually having tried it.

I just have a short tolerance for people that do not listen or read to what
all is said.
I have set outlook to download ALL pictures previously. As a result, There
is not an option to click on a bar that says "click here to download
pictures."
I have seen how outlook handles pictures that do not automatically download
the pictures so not only do I know where that bar is, but when that does
occur, the picture is not available to be right clicked on (in the body of
the email) select Copy, then paste it in Word, Excel.

I will find what the issue is, and once I do, I will be more than happy to
post the results

There must have been somethign screwed up in the user profile.
I renamed the profile on the laptop, and the profile on the server.
had teh person log in, I setup Outlook, and all the images displayed
properly.
