Outlook 2007 IMAP Categories

[Microsoft Office Fan]

I was quite shocked to see that my IMAP emails cant
be categorized in Outlook 2007 (the emails dont have the right-click
Categorize menu, and it doesnt show in the toolbar on top.)

Now interestingly, the Categories CAN be used by bringing up the field using
Custom View. My question is, this looks like an
'unintentional' feature in Outlook so will there be any problems if I
continue
using this?

You could categorize on client-side, but IMAP doesn't support categories, so
you can't send or receive categorize.
