Hello,
I have noticed two things using IMAP accounts with Outlook 2007:
1) The speed of accessing the IMAP folders tends to be slow (2-3 seconds).
This is even the case for deleting messages. I cannot understand why this
cannot be handeled in an asynchronous way like in the Opera Email client.
Opera has virtually no waiting times and can be considered "real-time"
contrary to Outlook. Is there some kind of option to speed this up? I cannot
think of any reason why not to do the Imap server communication
asynchronously.
2) For my IMAP accounts I have only very limited capability for flagging
messages, that is, I can only flag a message or clear the flag. I cannot
selct any reminders nor other flags. I can do that though with the messages
which are in the standard sent items folder unter "Personal Folders". What is
going on here?
Thanks for your input.
