Outlook 2007 Journal issue opening files on network

Hi to all

I've a problem with Outlook 2007 Journal opening files on network. User has
Office 2007 on Exchange 2003 standard server on windows 2003 Server.
After the upgrading to Office 2003 to 2007, Journal in Outlook stop to
record file opened on network share. It records file on local drive but not
in network Drive.
Network drive is on a windows 2000 server.
I tried to install Office 2007 in a new computer but it doesn't solve my
problem
Any idea is appreciated.

Hi Edoardo,

Microsoft purposefully changed Journal so it will not track documents opened
over a network, but only on the local drive. This was confirmed via a
telephone call with customer service. Perhaps if there are enough complaints
they will change it back, as it is certainly useless now.

Thanks for this reply. I suspected this was the case, and have added my
dissatisfaction to feedback.
