Outlook 2007 locks up when sending a reply or email to external re

Any ideas on why outlook 2007 is locking up when sending to a external
recipient?

If a i reply to an external (not in our exchange server) it locks up.....in
order to fix, i have to restart outlook...click work offline...then delete
the message out of the outbox.

Mine does the same thing. I rarely get through a reply without having to
Control+Alt+Delete to shutdown Outlook, reopen Outlook and start the email
over. Have you had any luck fixing yours?

I've tried a variety of different things and so has our computer guy.
Nothing has worked. It's very frustrating to not be able to reply to my
customer's emails. From what I can tell, in order to call or chat directly
with Microsoft Tech support, I have to pay them. I haven't tried that yet.
That's not my definition of customer support.
