I have a user (unfortunately our CIO) that is using Outlook 2007, a few days
ago a problem began, after clicking a mailto link which brought up Outlook
Express as the default mail program.
Since then it seems that he can reply to, or forward, an existing email
without issue. If he creates a new message and attaches files, messages or
anything else the application locks and the processor shoots to about 50% for
Outlook.
The message hangs in the outbox and will lockup Outlook again when it
reloads and attempts to send the message. We have to delete the message from
the outbox, then it runs fine until he attempts to send another new message.
We have deleted his profile and recreated, we have re-installed Outlook and
checked about every setting we can think of.
I appreciate any assistance anyone may have to offer.
