Outlook 2007 Lockups

I am having problems with Outlook 2007 on WinXP SP2. I get intermittent
lockups, I will switch back to Outlook and it has stopped working, I have to
use Task manager to stop it and then restart.

can anyone give some suggestion on how to diagnose this problem
