A
allanc
A couple of my clients who have Microsoft Office 2007 Small Business
Edition are having the following problem with outgoing mail. They are
not using Exchange.
I checkmarked the 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication'
box on the outgoing server tab and keyed the remainder of the
information.
When I click on the 'test' button, I find an Email in the inbox.
Independantly of the test, I successfully test all combinations of
sending, receiving and replying to Emails with another external
domain.
The client continues to use Outlook (both sending and receiving) for a
couple of days with no issues.
Then, for no apparent reason, the 'My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication' seems to lose its settings. As a result, the SMTP
server refuses the outgoing Email.
Any insight as to the cause, etc is appreciated.
TIA.
