Outlook 2007 losing connection to Exchange Server

I started having issues yesterday where my laptop started losing its
connection to exchange. It happened when I downloaded an Itunes update which
had an Outlook Itunes Sync that I did not know about. I disabled the add-in
and uninstalled it completely from my laptop. Once I rebooted I was able to
connect to exchange but it then disconnected after about 2 minutes. I killed
my exchange account rebooted and then reconnected my Exchange account and
once again it came right up but then disconnected after about 2 or 3 minutes.
I am connect to Exchange via a VPN but all my other programs like Microsoft
CRM that I connect ot via the VPN work fine. Any ideas?
