Outlook 2007- Mailbox Cleanup Find Results

We are using Outlook 2007 with an Exchange Server in a domain environment.
When our users perform a Mailbox Cleanup and search in 'Messages' for items
older than 90 days it returns messages AND contacts in the results. We had a
user inadvertantly delete all his contacts due to this behavior. 2003 did
not return contacts with messages, is this a bug or new behavior in 2007?

The functions searches for "items" older than 90 days so this includes
everything; mail, appointments, tasks, contacts, etc...
Can't currently verify the behavior for Outlook 2003 but the behavior in
Outlook 2007 is correct.

I do not believe that is correct. There is a 'Look for' search item that
indicates it will search for 'Any type of Outlook item' but the 'message'
choice should not include any item. Otherwise, what would the 'Any type of
Outlook item' search choice be for???
I would include a screen shot but it appears I can not do that in a post.

If you do a regular Advanced Find (CTRL+SHIFT+F) do you get the same
results?

Here is what one of support techs has to say about the CTRL+SHIFT+F search:
"Ctrl-Shift-F has to be done while clicked on a folder – doesn’t work on
Mailbox-Virginia Jones. I did try Mailbox Cleanup and used the “size†search
and Contacts did come up that way too even though ‘Messages’ was the ‘Look
For’ category."

If you do a regular Advanced Find (CTRL+SHIFT+F) do you get the same
results?

I don't get the Advanced Find remark; CTRL+SHIFT+F always triggers the
Advanced Find dialog even when you are composing a mail.
