Outlook 2007 with Win XP SP3 runs extremely slow. I've tried the fixes of
re-naming the files recommended, but it didn't fix the problem. Outlook
seems to initiate some indexing processes that thrash the disk and stop or
slow down everything else. It has even locked up the PC and forced a reboot.
If it is an indexing problem, can indexing be eliminated? Will it hurt
anything to stop the indexing? I'm only using the contacts part of Outlook
and have thousands of contacts, so a re-install wouldn't be toooooo feasible.
TIA
