Outlook 2007 message classification

Dear All,

I have followed :
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-2007-Message-Classifications-Part1.html
and
http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Exchange-2007-Message-Classifications-Part2.html

But the problem is, I do not see the Set Permission menu, either in
the Ribbon or in the Options menu !

IRM is NOT installed on my computer, and I did not see anything
stating it is a prerequisite for this to work !

Can you please confirm IRM is NOT mandatory... adn tell me what I am
missing

I did the test with OWA, the classification appears.

More information : we created a local user account, and it is working.

So our guess is that some GPO may be conflicting with these settings ?

Any idea ?

Yes, it does sound like you might have a GPO conflict, but I'm afraid I've
never used GPO to restrict those kinds of settings so I'm not sure exactly
where it would be. Have you checked the GPO to see if anything jumps out at
you?

Hi Ben,

Yes, we found it... It was effectively a GPO which prevented it to
run !

FYI :
Microsoft Office 2007 system/Manage Restricted Permissions
Policy : Disable Information Rights Management User Interface, which
was enabled !
