When typing in (certain large) Text boxes the mouse will automatically hide.
There is nothing wrong with your system.

Yes, known "feature", hopefully will be fixed. Same with when
highlighting a line or word and then trying to right click and copy. A
transparent edit font toolbar pops up and blocks the mouse from
clicking on the line sometimes.

Interesting Office 2007 has these new toolbars which can be confusing
as heck (where is print preview for instance), but Outlook has the old
toolbar look/feel. I bet if Outlook looked like Word 2007, a lot of
people would give up on upgrading right then and there.

Well when opening a new email you see the new toolbars...

Here is an interesting trivia piece: Outlook 2007 is actually the
biggest user of the new UI. Bigger than Word, Excel, PPT and Access.
Why? Outlook has 10+ different ribbons. There is a different ribbon for
each item you can open in Outlook.

As for finding back features;

Unfortunately there isn't one for Outlook (yet).
