Outlook 2007 - No way to link contact to appointment w/out invitat

Can someone please help me? I've installed Outlook 2007 on 2 machines (one
w. Vista/Bus and one w. XP Pro). Both have the same issue: When I click to
creat a new appointment or task there is supposed to be a "Contacts" button
and/or field at the very bottom of the window to link the appointment to a
specific contact. It's not there in either of my installations? How do I get
the contacts button to appear? Thanks

This is a VERY unhelpful message. I am having the same problem and it would
be helpful to provide link to answer instead of just telling someone not to
multipost. And FYI, I have searched the discussions and can't find an answer
directly on point to the Outlook 2007 issue of dropping the Contact field
from Tasks.

Which of course the reason not to multipost. This question was answered in
the original group to which it was posted and can easily be found. Expecting
us to repost the same answer over and over is not reasonable. It took me 3
seconds to find it:

I finally found the answer by searching on Google:

Outlook 2007: Contact Linking

In previous versions of Outlook, most forms had a field on the lower right
called Contacts which you could use to link a contact to an item which would
then show up on the Activities tab. You either used this feature, or you
didn't and for those who use it, Outlook 2007 hides it by default.

To enable it, go to Tools, Options, Contacts Options button and add a check
to the option under Contact linking to show it on forms.

Message to Microsoft guys- all the new features and look of Office 2007 are
nice, but please make it easier for us to find help on activating/accessing
old features.
