We had a file server that crashed last week and was rebuilt with a
different name. We changed all computers and applications to point to
the new Server name when opening files but when Outlook opens the
files from the New Share it hangs for about 90 seconds before it opens
the file. The offline files still is showing the old server listed. I
tried deleting the old server from the offline files but with no luck.
It seems as though Outlook is still trying to access the old server
and when it times out it finally opens the file. There are no Mapped
drives to the old server. I rebuilt one of the Vista Desktops and they
no longer have the issue. I don't want to have to rebuild all the
desktops and it's driving me crazy.
