Outlook 2007 Outgoing Message Error

I have not been able to send out a message with Outlook 2007 using my ISP.
When I go back to Outlook 2003 this is not a problem. My ISP insists that I
use them for an outgoing mail server and it goes out using port 25. I can do
the same thing using my Verizon wireless card that does not block port 25 or
my office. However, at home I have this problem. I also only have it with
Outllok 2007, since I can take it off my system re-install 2003 and it work
again. What is up?

What is the exact error message?
Configuring your outgoing (SMTP) server for authentication and try again.

The error message in testing the address is:

Send test e-mail message: None of the authentication methods supported by
this client are supported by your server.

Also in Account Settings, with Advanced Setings and under the outgoing
message tab I have selected requires authentification and entered in the name
and password.

Also in the repair mode, The server can not be found in either encryption or
unencryption mode.

All account settings were set usng Outlook 2003 and did not work with
Outlook 2007

In addition, I have not been able to set up a new setting.

My ISP is Cox Communications, which requires that I use their SMTP server,
which I have set up for already.

FOUND THE PROBLEM. With Outlook 2003 you are required to check the Requires
Authentification box in more settings. In Outlook 2007 you are not required
to check that box. Confusing but true. Now it works!!!
