Hello. I received the unwelcome news that I cannot open my e-mail
because outlook.pst has a a Cyclical redundancy Checking error. I ran
scanpst.exe, and it suggested a physical hard driveproblem. I ran
SmartDefrag on the hard drive and this did not solve the problem. I
have no other evidence of hard drive failure, but I can't copy
the .pst file to another location, but I was able to rename it and
replace it with a backup so that I have only lost a few important
messages.
Can anything be done to restore this file and those messages? Also,
can anybody suggest tools to diagnose and perhaps repair the problem,
if it is a physical one with the hard drive?
Thanks.
