im using office ultimate, on a vista dell laptop. 256mb vid card, 2ghz, 2gb
mem, vista home. I ahve tried all trouble shoot options and I am about to
give up on this product.
Teh keyboad locks up on typing.. I type real slow!!!! and poorly as
evidenced by this post. The app lock changeing from flder to folder or on
drop down menus.
VISTA visual features are enabled...
I would really like to resolve this as it is almnost impossible to use the
product as is. Lagging upto 20 keystokes is unacceptable... HAs any1 else had
this issue?

Google this newsgroup. You'll find mention of it several times,. along with
apparent solutions: clear the Restricted security zone in IE and make
Outlook Today the startup folder. ALso install the Outlok Performance
Update from Microsoft's download site.

ok...I am at a loss. I believeI ahve done what u said.. it still lags
like a mofo.

Microsoft, apparently, is aware of the poor OL 2007 performance. I have no
doubt they'll address it eventually, but who can say when that will be?

Well thats a bummer... my first mistake was buying a dell, the 2nd was
getting vista. BACK to known HELL XP Pro and office 2003. Funnily enough
office 07 works well enuff on xp. GO figure.
Hunt around EBAY you will see my xps m1210 for sale. What a disaster.

You Brian however were a great help.. Thanks for your quick responses. I
assume by your volume of posts and knowledge you are a msft employee?
