Hello,
I'm trying to create a Distribution List that is stored in my Contacts
(Outlook Address Book), which contains members of the Global Address List
(Exchange 2003 GAL). The DL members may be individuals or other DLs.
All steps complete without issue: create the DL; add the members; save the
DL.
On creating a message, the DL can be selected and shows the correct
membership list, with correct email addresses listed for individuals; other
DLs can be double-clicked to show their members.
The problem arises when I attempt to use such DLs:
Clicking '+' to expand the list shows it to be empty: the list is simply a
sequence of spaces (1 per entry) separated by ;.
Temporary workaround:
Select individual members of the GAL and 'Add to Contacts' - DLs created
from Contacts are fine.
This method does not work with GAL DLs: the DL can be added to Contacts and
thereafter its Properties are OK but, again, it expands to nothing.
I didn't have this problem with Outlook 2003: DLs created in this version
also fail to expand.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Pete.
