Outlook 2007 - PSTs turning into 8mb files?

Hello - we have an odd situation here, and we can't seem to find a
commonality as to why it is happening over the past 2 months. Some user's
PSTs are fine one day, and then the next day - they can't open them. When I
go to see what the issue is, I see the file is 8192kb (8Mb) in size. The
sizes they were the day before are always higher, and in some cases,
extremely higher than the 8mb file. The 8mb file that is left, is not
viewable and can't be recovered for any data. So my questions are: 1) Has
anyone else had this issue, and 2) if so, what have your found that might be
causing it?

I have queried users to see if they are shutting down at night and wondering
if the backup utility might be corrupting the file if left open, but that
doesn't appear to be the case - however, I am not ruling it out....

Thank you!

You may want to ask your question in an Outlook newsgroup. This one is
about the Microsoft Access database product.
