Hello,
I have previously used the Office 2007 Beta 2 on my laptop. It worked fine,
including providing connectivity with my exchange server using RPC-HTTP.
I recently reinstalled XP on my laptop. Performing a clean install of Office
2007 (previous sceanrio was an upgrade), results in Outlook being unable to
connect to exchange using RPC-HTTP.
In an attempt to check if it was my certificate setup etc I installed Office
2003, and setup Outlook 2003 to connect to the exchange server. This worked
fine, and I had RPC-HTTP connectivity.
As a result i installed Office 2007 as an upgrade and found Outlook 2007 was
again not connecting via RPC-HTTP. I cleared the mail profile, and re-entered
the connection settings but to no avail, RPC-HTTP was again not working.
If anyone could provide any help i would be very grateful, it has been
driving me crazy trying to resolve.
NOTE: During the setup for the clean install and all subsequent
installations an error message is generated. It is blank, and provides
"Abort", "Retry" and "Ignore" options.
NOTE: In all sceanrios when connecting via the local network (VPN Dial in)
works fine, and Outlook reports (outlook /rpcdiag) connection via TCP.
Regards
Jay
