Outlook 2007 - Rules and alerts question

T

Trish

Hi, I have a rule set up that forwards a particular incoming email to my
mobile phone. It also puts a copy into a specified folder on my laptop and
deletes the original incoming mail. It is working fine :) The problem:
Every time I download these on my mobile phone, it downloads all the old ones
as well as the new one. I have spoken to my mobile phone provider (Samsung)
and they assure me it is a problem with the way I have set up the rule, and
is not a problem with the phone download system. Could someone please
suggest how I can prevent this from happening, as it is not only inconvenient
but it is also costing me a fortune in mobile download fees :-( I look
forward to a response. Many thanks.

You are forwarding a message to your phone's mailbox and it's downloading
the mail in its mailbox every time it checks for new mail? That's not an
outlook problem.

if you are downloading the folder on the hard drive where the message is
copied to, it’s a setting in the sync software.
