outlook 2007 rules error

When trying to set up a out of office reply rule, I'm not using exchange
server, it gives me an "rules in error" and doesn't sent the reply. It looks
like this has been a problem for other people but I haven't found a fix
anywhere. Any ideas?

You want us to analyze a rule that you don't show us?
