outlook 2007 run in sleep mode

Ross

I'm running Office/Outlook 2007 on new laptop with Vista When I had XP on
my previous machine, and it went to "sleep" after not being used for awhile,
emails would still "send/receive" and come in. Now with this new machine in
Vista, until I "wake" the machine but getting it to pop back on, only then
does the "send/receive" execute and emails start pouring in. Is there a
setting to this in Vista ?

It's not an outlook setting. Vista's sleep/hibernate modes are not the same
as XP's and you'll need to check with the Vista groups to see what to change
to make it work while half asleep.
