Hi
I've noticed that over the past 24 hours my outlook is running very slowly.
i can click an item and its 3/4 seconds before and reaction. If I type, the
text appearing on screen can be 2/3 seconds behind the keyboard.

Its not happening in any other program

Anyone, any ideas please?

Thanks

I am encountering the same problem on my new Dell 9400 Inspiron w/ Core2 Duo
processors (2Gb RAM). I'm running Vista Business and Office Small Business.
By engaging the multimeter gadget, I've been watching the CPU's spike every
6-7 seconds which causes Outlook to exhibit the same symptoms you've
described. Normally, the CPUs run around 4%-8% then jump up to 50%-80% for
several seconds then return back until the next cycle. If I close Outlook,
the problem does
not occur with any other Office App (Word, PP, Excel, ect.)

I have an open case with Dell Software Support but haven't heard anything
back yet.
I wonder if Microsoft has an open case with a patch for this problem?

I'm on a Dell 6400 Inspiron Duo with 2GB RAM. I'm running XO Pro SP2 but
with Vista installed on another partition (its nor running any applications)

What are you using to monitor

I'm using the add-in Multi Meter gadget from MS's website. It shows both
Core1 and Core2 and RAM. Not fancy, but I took screenshots and sent to Dell
Software Support to show them what was happening.

Also, I just saw a blog whereby some users are starting Outlook in Safe Mode.
I just tried it and the system is performing better. However, I want to have
access
to all the features as this is just an interim solution.

Yes but I guess that's a Vista tool and I'm running XP Pro but I'll take a
look - thanks

Hi,

I'm having the same problem with my Outlook. I'm running on Vista and a Dell
Inspiron 640m, have you find away to fit this?
