After installing Office 2007 SP1 (running Office Professional 2007 under
Vista Home Premium on Toshiba Satellite A135 w/ 2GB RAM) I cannot start
Outlook. I receive the following error mesage:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library: Runtime Error! Program: C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\OUTLOOK.EXE This application has requested
the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the
application's support team for more information.
Subsequent attempts to start Outlook will variously try (but fail) to start
in SAFE MODE, initiate Detect and Repair, but nothing allows Outlook to start
successfully.
Has anyone else had this experience? Solutions?
One other note which may or may not be relevant in duplicating this error.
I have the Outlook Connector installed which allows accessing my Hotmail
account through Outlook, as well as four IMAP accounts.
