Outlook 2007 Safe Mode

I recently upgraded my MS Office suite to 2007. Now, whenever I start
Outlook 2007, I get an error message that there was a problem the last time I
shut down Outlook and that I should start it in safe mode. Does anyone know
what's causing this and what I can do to fix it? Thanks!

It's probably caused by an addin that you have installed that isn't
compatible with Outlook 2007.
Does it load in Outlook Safe Mode?
Which addins do you have installed?

Thanks for responding. First of all, it does load in safe mode. I have
about 8 different add-ins currently loaded (I didn't list them here but will
if you're willing to help me evaluate them). I don't know how to tell if
they're compatible with Outlook 2007. I did look at the two resources you
pointed me to ... both look like excellent resources ... but I couldn't find
anything in there that would help me identify whether or not these add-in's
are OK with 2007. Any further insight would be greatly appreciated!

Those resources will help you troubleshoot your issue. For instance; disable
all your addins and see if Outlook starts normally now. If so, you can
enable them one by one to determine which one is causing Outlook to crash.
Resetting the outcmd.dat and extend.dat files are something I would start
with in your case.
