Outlook 2007 / Security Warning - App trying to send a mail

Hallo,

I'm currently working on migration from Gorupwise to Exc/Outlook (both 2007).

Most of the things are going reasonnably smoothly, but I'm now facing a
quiet annoying issue:
I've got an app that sends mails using MAPI, that was working ok with GW
client, but now, Outlook pops up the Security Warning windows.

I tried to edit the GPO Secutiry settings (I can't use the PF forms, I don't
have PF) but without success until now.

Is redemption (or any of its friend) the only option ? Or can I change
setting to let the app send mails ? (I did also contact the app supplier, but
I have tied dead-line..)

Thanks,
Chris

I'll look into this one too.

Redemption or use clickyes (which not surprisingly, automatically clicks the
"yes" button for you) -http://www.contextmagic.com/express-clickyes/

It's not much a matter of what am I a considering, much more a matter of how
long will it take to have the proper version from the app provider :)

Thanks !

The ClickYes application is something I wouldn't use, as you have no idea
what it is saying Yes too. With the MAPILab addin you would be more in
control.

They only had over 6 years to come up with an update. That is when the
security model was first introduced ;-)

Roady,

I might have miss something, but I can't get the mapilab to work.
It's installed, it can see antyhing.. but the app is sending without
triggering outlook.exe itself.. might it be the explaination of did I do
something wrong ?

Thanks

But the application raises the Outlook security prompt? In that case the
addin should catch it and replace it with the MAPILab security prompt. If it
doesn't, you can contact MAPILab support and ask if there any exceptions in
which it will not catch the event. Perhaps the developers in
outlook.program_vba or outlook.program_addins have some ideas as well.
