Outlook 2007 Send issue

Brian Gorveatt

In OE you could press 'Send' and it would immediately send the email. In
Outook 2007, when I press 'Send', will the email be sent immediately or does
it abide by the time interval specifiied in Send/Receive and if so, how can I
get around it waiting and have it send immediately. Correct me if I'm wrong
and please provide any solutions.

Hi Brian,

The Outlook 2007 Tools menu > Options... > Mail Setup tab > Send/Receive has
a checkbox "Send immediately when connected".

Mine sends the message when I click on the Send button. There have been
instances when an email gets stuck. Not sure what's going on, but that's not
the rule.

It will send immediately. The interval is only for automatic polling.
