Outlook 2007 Send Issues

I upgraded to OL 07 about a week ago. I have not been able to send through
the Godaddy smtp sever since the 'upgrade'. I have confirmed all settings
inumerable times, I have waded through posting after posting and tried many
fixes but all yield the same result. I am still not able to send email from
Outlook.

I tested Winmail, and all the same account settings allow me to send mail.

I have used all suggested ports 25, 80, 587, 3535. All result in a network
password required dialogue box. OL is configured to use the same password as
the pop server (from which I can successfully download email). Checking the
log file, OL is authenticating using 'plain' authentication. I have tried
ssl on port 465. All with no success. This seems to be a pretty common
problem, but I have yet to find the correct combination of fixes to resolve
this issue. Have tried disabling firewalls, etc.

What am I missing? Might add that Contact Manager is installed.

I will add that I removed the McAffe AV software entirely and it did not
resolve the issue. I still do not authenticate the log on with the smtpout
server at securenet. All settings have been confirmed again and are correct.

No problem receiving mail. I have completely removed the firewall. That did
not resolve the issue. I was using McAfee. Outlook was allowed in the
settings for full interent traffic when it was installed.

This problem persist whether I am in the office, our in public wifis, or at
home.

Do you get any errors? They would tell you why its not connecting to the
server.

Thank you for taking the time to pursue this thread, but I think I have
resolved the issue. I deleted the original profile (Control Panel > 32 bit
Control Panel > Mail > Profile) and created a new one. I then imported the
old .pst into the new .pst. So far I am sending successfully. I had been
removing the account within outlook itself, but not the profile. Somehow the
profile seems to have been where the problem was centered.

I deleted the original profile (Control Panel > 32 bit
Control Panel > Mail > Profile) and created a new one. I then imported the
old .pst into the new .pst.

You should have not imported but simply pointed the new profile at the old
PST. Importing always loses data and is never the first choice for moving
data between one Outlook and another.
