Outlook 2007 - sending attachment from excel or word

We installed a new Dell Quad-Core 4gb RAM computer for the president of the
company. As with new machines, Office 2007 is the choice. He decided to go
for it.

He is liking it more and more each day, say for 1 problem.
If he is in say Excel, with any size file, clicks the office button, clicks
Send then email ... the new email with the attachment is displayed quickly.
Click the new email and type in an email address and click send.. and it
takes 30 seconds... and the email doesn't go away on its own. You have to
close it.

Now if you open a new email, assign an email address and drag and drop an
attachment and click send... its instant. No hang or anything, works
perfectly.

Of course, he uses the first option all the time.

I haven't been able to find anything regarding this anywhere, any help would
be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I'd only do it the way you are having success with. From another application
makes different calls.

Hi, just wondering if you had found a solution to this yet. Thanks
for the response "Bill R", but simply "not using" that feature is not
an acceptable solution for me. I have a client who is experiencing
the exact same issue. It happens for him in Adobe as well as other
Office applications. We also run Symantec Antivirus Corporate 10, I'm
wondering if this is playing a role, but other have the same thing
with no issue.

Nothing yet.

I went and updated another machine to 2007 and that new machine doesn't
exhibit the same problem.
Just another MS feature I suppose.

will post here if I do get it solved.
