Outlook 2007 - sending email error 554 "use orange server"

I'm temporarily visiting parents and using their Orange internet over
wireless connection - something I've done countless times before, including
yesterday, without issue. Tonight I am getting an error about sending emails
using Outlook 2007 saying:

Sending reported error (0x800CCC6F) : 'Your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail service
has reported an internal error. If you continue to receive this message,
contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP). The
server responded: 554 Please check your SMTP server is set to
smtp.orangehome.co.uk. Further help is available at
http://help.orange.co.uk/SessionBegin.do?solutionId=kb4473

I don't know why my SMTP server would be telling me to set it to use orange,
as they aren't my email provider (the only link I can think of is the
internet connection is orange).

I also don't know why it's started telling me this tonight when yesterday
and this morning it was fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions? It is only affecting my outgoing email on
my primary account (not any of the secondary ones with the same provider).

The link doesn't work so I don't know what they say other than they are
blocking your access to the other server but did you send a lot of messages
while using their service? They may have triggered a block as many ISP do it
to prevent spammers from using a hijacked connection.
