Outlook 2007 sends mail, but won't download

I have Outlook 2007 and Vista. Outlook has stopped downloading mail messages
from the server (ISP, POP3), but it does still send mail messages. The error
message is that it timed out while trying to connect to pop3 server.

Now, this has been working successfully until about 3 days ago. There is
mail on the server and I can download it using Outlook 2007 on XP from my
laptop. All other internet connectivity is OK too.

I am think that some config setting in Outlook was inadvertently changed,
but I can't figure out what in order to fix it.

Thanks very much for any assistance.

Probably some configuration files on your ISP's part - have you checked their web page for help with configuring Outlook 2007? Comcast made some recent changes that have caused problems - perhaps yours has as well.

Thanks for the reply Milly. My email is hosted by enom.com via a hosted
domain name and they have changed nothing in ages. And if they had, I would
think it would affect the Outlook 2007 on the laptop, but nothing is wrong
there. So....still looking for a solution. I will probably uninstall &
reinstall Outlook today, but was trying to avoid the hassle of that. Thanks
again.
