Outlook 2007 settings question

I am using Outlook with my bellsouth (now at&t and Yahoo) mail. It works
fine one day, then it either won't send, or won't receive the next. I have
to go in and change the settings back to the way they work. When that
doesn't work, I have to delete the email account, and start fresh.

WHY is this happening, and more importantly, does anyone know what I can do
to fix it? Make it stop!!!

What error message(s) do you receive? Also, you say you have to 'change the
settings back' from what?
