Outlook 2007 Share Calendar and User Can Edit?

W

Whyvon

Hello! I've heard with Outlook 2007 I can share my calendar on the net
without having MS Exchange - however if I do so, will the person I share it
with be able to edit it?

I need this person to edit my calendar online, then for me to receive the
changes on my Outlook. And vice versa.

Thanks!

I am trying to figure out how to do the same thing. Have you been able to
figure how to do this?

Thank you - I have read this information already and do not find the answer
to this question:

Can a user I share my calendar with make changes to it?

Hi Whyvon,

with Outlook 2007 (and also with all other versions of Outlook) there is no
"feature" to share your calendar or any other folder with "edit" rights.

All descriptions (like in the article of Eric) are functions to "share" your
calendar information without the rights to edit your items. Only Exchange
Server, SharePoint Server or 3rd party tools supports the function to share
your calendar with edit rights.

Most of the 3rd party tools are synchronization tools.

They write that they can "share" Outlook but they only synchronize the
items, which is not a sharing solution.

If you want to share Outlook without Exchange, you will need a 3rd party
tool. Outlook without Exchange can not share any folders with the right to
edit the items.

I found a work around, email me if you want to know what I did.

This is a public news group - if you have a solution, it is best to publish it here rather than request a private email. Plus, you posted your email address for all the spammers to harvest. Good luck with that.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. All
unsolicited mail sent to my personal account will be deleted without
reading.

After furious head scratching, Rob asked:
