My school district is going to Outlook 2007. My school has it right now.
Here's the problem.
We have three shared calendars; Computer Lab, Staff, and School
Calendars. All calendars can be found by going to Public Folders/All
Public Folders/Elementary Schools/School. I go to any of the shared
calendars and want to make it show up under the "Calendar" icon that is
on the left side. I right click on Lab Calendar, select "Move to
favorites". It shows up in the "Favorites" folder. I then drag it to
either "My Calendar" or "Other Calendars". It shows up. For me, the
calendars always "stick"; meaning when I exit Outlook and then return,
they're still attached to the "Calendar" icon on the left. It should be
noted I have admin rights. Now, I do the same exact thing to another
teacher who doesn't have admin rights. What happens is that the
calendars show up in "Other Calendars" just fine. But, when I exit
Outlook and then open it back up, click on the "Calendar" icon and
select Lab Calendar (as an example), the calendar disappears. The user
then has to go back to favorites.
Sorry for being long-winded, but what's going on? Why does the calendar
disappear? More importantly, how do I make the calendars "stick" and not
disappear?
I hope I was clear enough. Thanks so much.
