Outlook 2007 should not receive mail for this account

A

ah

In Tools / Send receive settings, I have created a group for which I do NOT
want to receive the mails automatically. For this purpose, in Account
Options, I have unselected Receive mail items and UNticked Include this
group in Send Receive and Schedule an automatic Send Receive every x min.
And still, the emails arriving on the server come to my Inbox in Outlook.
Please how can I avoid receiving the mails automatically? I had no problem
with this in Outlook 2003.

Works correctly for me with POP3. What account type are you using? Make sure
it is not being collected thorugh another send/receive group.

Sounds like you've set it up wrong then. Remove the added group you created
and select the default group. Press Edit... and for each account you wish
not to receive untick Receive Items.

It looks like you have spotted it. I noticed that Receive was ticked for
this account in All Accounts. I deticked it and I sent a test email to this
account. It has not yet arrived in my Inbox. I am waiting a bit more to
make sure that I don't receive it later, before rejoicing.

Thank you very much for your help.
