Outlook 2007 shutdown

C

Chuck Collins

When I close outlook 2007 from the "X" at the top right or from File, Exit,
then try to open it later, I usually receive the notice that the PST file was
closed improperly and the application often spends several minutes checking
the file before starting. Perhaps as a consequence of this I often have
involuntary shutdowns while using Outlook resulting in several
shutdown/restart sequences.

Note that I have never aborted Outlook, always allowed it to close before
closing the operating system for a Stop or Restart.

Is this a known bug and is there a known solution or a target date for repair?

Running XP professional, Service Release 3.
