OUtlook 2007 spellcheck and correct as you type

My laptop runs Vista, Outlook 2007 and MS Office 2000.

The red wavy lines of the spellcheck don't appear, nor do the auto correct
elements (e.g. substituting I when I type i)

The Auto corrext options are ticked.

Any suggestions on hoe to get this to work would be welcome.

Most likely it got broken when you installed Office 2000 on Windows Vista.
Uninstall it, do a repair on Outlook 2007 and see if it works now.

Office 2000?

you need word 2007 installed to have that option. it will not work with word
2000.
