Our company upgraded from Office 2003 to Office 2007 and I have an end-user,
let's call him Bob, that has a problem with Outlook 2007. Bob's spell check
doesn't work in Outlook but it does work in Word 2007.
Troubleshooting steps:
1) I checked to ensure that he has a dictionary installed. He has two, (1)
custom.dic and (2) custom1.dic.
2) His settings were not set to check the spelling before sending. I enabled
this option and the spell still doesn't work.
3) I checked: Tools, options, spelling and checked his settings against
mine. The settings were the same as mine.
4) Ran the Microsoft Diagnostics, which repaired one issue. Rebooted.
5) Ran tne Microsoft Office Professional Plus repair and rebooted.
At this point I am thinking that a reinstall would be the answer. My
question is would Bob lose his auto-complete email address entries if I
reinstalled Outlook 2007?
